Hi guys. Just a quick update. I have received 100% reimbursement today, exactly 17 days after I filled up "Membership Cancellation Within 10 days Cooling Off Period Form". Of course, a lot of follow ups were made within 17 days, was persistent and did not fall for their tricks. I hope the experience shared here will help people to have an informed choice in future before sign up for Exchange Vacation Club.

Hi, I want to share my cancellation and refund status. Today, I also received full reimbursement from EVC after fill in the cancellation form on 13/4/2017.

Signed up in Jan 2014 after listening to a great plan presented by two sales advisors. All kinds of benefits and promises were made that day, so it was irresistible since they claim they were Best Western after all, a renowned brand worldwide. What's not to like, so many hotels available to book worldwide, not only limited to BW hotels, some even at 1:1 exchange. Then... the nightmare started few weeks after when i tried to place a booking for my Japan vacation. Excuses such as no available rooms (although when i check with Agoda they do have rooms), higher conversion of entitlement night, slow or no response from their customer service is somehow a normal practice. So for the past few years I've been booking direct from Agoda after failed and frustrating attempts to book from EVC.
Sometime in 2016, my credit card issuer issued me a new card because the old card expired. I totally forgot that i had signed up for auto-debit for this EVC Platinum Package so i also didn't realize that i was not serving the installment once new card was sent to me. Only recently when i contacted EVC to book a room, they told me i missed out over 6 months of installment. Soon after, i received a email from them saying my membership has been terminated and everything i've paid so far (RM 26,000) is void. They also claimed in the letter that they have tried to contact me several times to inform me to pay which i swear i didn't even receive as much as a phone call/sms or a reminder/warning letter. After all the lousy service and lies told by the sales advisors, now they scammed me RM26K just like that. If only making money is that easy... Anyway, i won't let them get away so easily, first i'll lodge a police report, then to Consumer Affairs, then finally to Best Western HQ. Hopefully some party can take action against them before others get scammed too.

Hi Kene Scammed : You should send a letter to EVC demand full refund / compensation due to EVC negligence to provide good service. The letter must cc to KPDNK Putrajaya (Pengarah Bhgn Penguatkuasa), Selangor & Cawangan PJ. You should write a letter on the inefficiency, negligence, failure of EVC to provide best service and don't forget to attach the proof of payment/installment u paid. The letter also should cc to your credit card bank issuer for the notification. Make sure EVC received your letter. You can send the letter by AR register post or by runner (make sure the runner get the chop received and sign by EVC). Good luck

I'm facing the same problem too as I signed up on last 2 yrs.. Very hard to get contacted with them, booked also cancelled and get noticed after one month.. Called mostly 10 times to their office, replied the same thing will get back to you shortly.

Hi, I am the member for this club since 2014. They contacted me to make the balance of rm10k+ in full (I have paid for 30k so far) with so call nice package and etc... if I were to cancel this membership I wouldn’t get any refund for the monies I paid since 2014-2017 right? But I have used my stays throughout these few years just that booking it’s usually take longer but managed to secure the room that I wan in the country I visited. Does any member here would like to cancel the membership?

Guys,
Need to clarify on EVC. Is it the same as Advance Room Purchase (ARP) Program offer by Plentifield Hotel Sdn Bhd? I just attended their briefing session in Le Meridien Putrajaya today and need to pay for the fees of RM8500 by tomorrow.
